Peppermint Kiss (DIY Peppermint Lip Balm)

Try this DIY lip balm to keep your lips moisturized and healthy. You’ll be surprised at how easy it is to make your own all natural cosmetic. To add, these lippies make awesome party giveaways or personalized gifts for your friends too.

Recipe:

1-ounce beeswax
1-ounce coconut oil
½ ounce shea butter
½ ounce cocoa butter
20 drops Peppermint essential oil
10 drops Lavender essential oil

Directions 

In a double boiler, combine all ingredients except essential oils. Remove from heat and stir in essential oils. If you would like to make tinted lip balm, add a pinch of colored mineral makeup until you get your desired color. Stir well until combined. Pour into lipstick tubes. Allow it to cool completely before use.

Safe for kids 6+ years old and pregnant women. Not for nursing.

Pairs Well With: Bergamot, black pepper, cedarwood, chamomile, clary sage, clove, cypress, eucalyptus, frankincense, geranium, grapefruit, juniper, lemon, lemongrass, mandarin, marjoram, oakmoss, palmarosa, patchouli, peppermint, pine, ravensara, rose, rosemary, tea tree, thyme, vetiver, pine, and nutmeg.

Properties: Calming, sleep-inducing, antiseptic, analgesic, disinfectant, anti-inflammatory, anti-convulsant, anti-rheumatic, anti-spasmodic, antifungal, antiviral, bactericide, carminative, cholagogue, cicatrisant, cordial, cytophylactic, decongestant, deodorant, diuretic, emmenagogue, hypotensive, nervine, rubefacient, sedative, sudorific and vulnerary.
