If you want to feel and smell amazing try this blend. The combination of oils in this recipe will help you feel lively and fresh. This is also safe for your kids, breastfeeding, and pregnant moms.

Recipe

1 dark glass roll-on bottle
1 TB fractionated coconut oil
3 drops of Grapefruit essential oil
2 drops of Frankincense essential oil
1 drop of Copaiba essential oil
1 drop of Bergamot essential oil

Directions

Add essential oil drops into your roll-on bottle and fill the remainder with a light carrier oil like fractionated coconut oil. Store in a cool, dark place. Apply to pulse points.


Essential Oil Properties In This Recipe

Grapefruit Essential Oil:

Aroma: Sweet, tangy, citrus, and sharp refreshing smell.

Pairs Well With: Bergamot, black pepper, cardamom, clary sage, clove, cypress, eucalyptus, fennel, frankincense, geranium, ginger, juniper, lavender, lemon, mandarin, neroli, palmarosa, patchouli, peppermint, rosemary, thyme and ylang ylang.

Properties: Antidepressant, antiseptic, aperitif, diuretic, disinfectant, lymphatic stimulant, tonic and anti-infectious.

Frankincense Essential Oil:

Aroma: Earthy, a slightly citrus-fruity/sweet, woody, spicy, haunting smell, a small hint camphoric, but very pleasant.

Pairs Well With: Citrus oils like bergamot, grapefruit, lime, lemon, neroli and wild orange. Piney and earthy scents such as cypress, myrrh palmarosa, pine, patchouli, sandalwood, and vetiver. Floral scents such as lavender, geranium, rose, ylang ylang, and clary sage. Spice scents such as black pepper, camphor, and cinnamon.

Properties: Antiseptic, astringent, carminative, cicatrizant, cytophylactic, digestive, diuretic, emmenagogue, expectorant, sedative, tonic, uterine, and vulnerary.

Copaiba Essential Oil:

Aroma: Woody, slightly balsamic, and sweet aroma.

Pairs Well With: Lavender, black pepper, frankincense, angelica root or seed, clove bud, grapefruit, lemon, lemongrass, ylang ylang, cypress, eucalyptus radiata, and green myrtle.

Properties: Anti-Inflammatory, cicatrizant disinfectant, emollient, astringent, expectorant, diuretic, hypotensive and anti-irritant.

Bergamot Essential Oil:

Aroma: Fresh, spicy, floral, citrus, yet fruity and sweet, and is reminiscent of neroli as well as lavender oil.

Pairs Well With: Chamomile, citrus oils, coriander, cypress, geranium, helichrysum, jasmine, juniper, lavender, lemon balm, neroli, nutmeg, rose, sandalwood, vetiver, violet and ylang ylang

Properties: Analgesic, antidepressant, antiseptic, antibiotic, anti-spasmodic, stomachic, calmative, cicatrisant, deodorant, digestive, febrifuge, vermifuge and vulnerary.
