Lemony Lips (Chapped Lips Essential Oil Scrub)

During the winter season, chapped lips are a common thing.  In this recipe, lavender essential can effectively repair your chapped lips. With added lemon essential oil and honey, this blend will also help lighten dark lips. In addition, brown sugar is an effective exfoliant that can remove dead skin cells.

Get those soft pink lips naturally by using this recipe at least twice a week especially during cold weather.

Recipe

1 drop Lavender essential oil
1 drop Lemon essential oil
1/2 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon jojoba oil
1 tablespoon organic brown sugar

Directions

Mix jojoba oil and honey in a small bowl. Add essential oils and slowly stir in sugar until mixture reaches desired consistency. Store in a container and apply to lips. (Should only be used twice a week)

Lemon Essential Oil:

Aroma: Sharp, fresh smell, clean, sugary citrus and slightly sour.

Pairs Well With: Benzoin, chamomile, cistus, elemi, eucalyptus, fennel, frankincense, geranium, juniper, lavender, neroli, oakmoss, rose, sandalwood and ylang ylang.

Properties: Anti-anemic, antimicrobial, anti-rheumatic, anti-sclerotic, antiseptic, bactericidal, carminative, cicatrisant, depurative, diaphoretic, diuretic, febrifuge, haemostatic, hypotensive, insecticidal, rubefacient, tonic and vermifuge.
