There are so many different causes why one would have an upset stomach but one thing is for sure, nobody wants it. Upset Tummy Soother Massage Oil will help reduce your stomach pain problems. Keep this recipe handy for relief especially if you are feeling any of these: bloating or excessive fullness, burping, and belching, flatulence, nausea, constipation, indigestion and abdominal pain. Try it for yourself.

Recipe

2 tbsp castor oil
12 drops Fennel essential oil
10 drops Chamomile essential oil
8 drops Peppermint essential oil

Directions

Measure castor oil in a tinted glass bowl/jar then add drops of fennel, chamomile, and peppermint essential oils. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct light. Use a small bottle or reduce the recipe by about one third to store it in a roll-on bottle instead. To use, place a few drops of the massage oil onto fingers, or apply it directly on to your stomach if you are using a roll-on bottle.

Massage oil into your stomach in a clockwise direction beginning near the belly button and work your way outward.

Fennel Essential Oil:

Aroma: Herby, slightly spicy smell, sweet, almost peppery, earthy much like aniseed.

Pairs Well With: Bergamot, black pepper, cardamom, cypress, dill, fir, geranium, ginger, grapefruit, juniper, lavender, lemon, mandarin, marjoram, niaouli, orange, pine, ravensara, rose, rosemary, sandalwood, tangerine,and ylang ylang.

Properties: Antiseptic, anti-spasmodic, aperitif, carminative, depurative, diuretic, emmenagogue, expectorant, galactogogue, laxative, stimulant, stomachic, splenic, tonic, and a vermifuge.

Chamomile Essential Oil:

Aroma: Roman – Fresh, rich, sweet and apple-like fragrance | German – Sweet, straw-like fragrance

Pairs Well With: Bergamot, eucalyptus, clary sage, lavender, geranium, grapefruit,, jasmine, neroli, oakmoss, palmarosa, tea tree, grapefruit, rose, lemon and ylang-ylang.

Properties: Anti-spasmodic, antiseptic, antibiotic, antidepressant, anti-neuralgic, antiphlogistic, carminative, cholagogue, cicatrisant, emenagogue, analgesic, febrifuge, hepatic, sedative, nervine, digestive, tonic, bactericidal, sudorific, stomachic, anti-inflammatory, anti-infectious, vermifuge, and vulnerary.

Peppermint Essential Oil:

Aroma: Fresh, herbaceous, sharp and strong mint/menthol smell.

Pairs Well With: Basil, benzoin, black pepper, cypress, eucalyptus, geranium, grapefruit, juniper, lavender, lemon, marjoram, niaouli, pine, ravensara, rosemary, tea tree

Properties: Analgesic, anesthetic, antiseptic, antigalactagogue, antiphlogistic, antispasmodic, astringent, carminative, cephalic, cholagogue, cordial, decongestant, emmenagogue, expectorant, febrifuge, hepatic, nervine, stimulant, stomachic, sudorific, vasoconstrictor and vermifuge.
